Detectable cable markers Application

Detectable cable markers are used wherever cables and wires need to be permanently marked and at the same time there are very high quality assurance requirements. This is the case, for example, in the food industry, in animal feed production or in the pharmaceutical industry. The food (and beverage) industry in particular has extremely strict quality management requirements in order to guarantee the production of safe food and avoid product contamination. Texit's detectable cable markers can support quality assurance in accordance with the HACCP concept and contribute to the safety of the production process. 

Properties of detectable cable markers

Thanks to small integrated metal particles, these marking solutions are detectable and can be identified at any time using X-ray detectors or metal detectors. They are therefore very suitable for cable marking or marking on production systems and for machines used in the production process of food or medicines.

The color of the markings corresponds to the standards of the industry mentioned (blue as the identification color, as well as the necessary product properties). The markers for identification have a high resistance to UV radiation, moisture and cleaning agents, as well as a generally high chemical resistance. The marking solutions are also halogen-free, which means that no toxic gases are produced in the event of a fire. They are offered in the standard range in packaging units of 500 or 1000 markers.

Labeling detectable cable markers

You need a thermal transfer printing system to label the detectable cable markers. This extremely robust printing process guarantees the permanent legibility of the labeling as well as the high durability of the marking solutions. You can easily create the label on your computer using the Nice Label program. To do this, you add all the required information (such as data, code, barcodes, images, logos, etc.) using drag-and-drop and can then print your desired label (you can also import Excel files into the software to easily transfer data from a spreadsheet).

Fastening detectable cable markers with cable ties

Once the markers have been printed, the labels are attached to the cables and lines of the systems and machines using cable ties. The cable ties used should be detectable, just like the markers, in order to prevent product contamination in an emergency. For safety reasons, metal components must therefore also be integrated into the cable ties, which enables detection using X-ray detectors. When applying the HACCP concept (in the laboratory or in food production), the cable ties used should also be blue in color.
