Test badges properties
Test labels are used on a wide variety of electrical devices, machines, equipment and components. They belong to the categories of safety marking & test labels. An inspection sticker usually indicates when the next inspection is due. During the periodic maintenance of electrical machines, among other things, equipment is checked for its safety labels. The inspection stickers are checked to make sure that they are up to date and that the inspection dates are observed in accordance with the regulations (year). At Texit, we make test sticker self-printing easy!
Certification Mark: Use in Accordance with DGUV
An equipment inspection in accordance with DGUV ensures compliance with the accident prevention regulation and applies to all electrical systems and devices at manufacturing companies. This regulation sets specific requirements for the inspection sticker. Only after the inspection has been passed may an inspection sticker bearing the words “Inspected in accordance with” or “Inspected per DGUV” be affixed to the corresponding device. (Note: Affixing an inspection sticker in accordance with DGUV Regulation 3 is not mandatory. DGUV Regulation 3 merely requires that electrical equipment be inspected every two years. However, there are many advantages for your business in affixing such a sticker to the equipment.)
There are uniform specifications in the industry for this type of equipment inspection. The individual sectors each have the same requirements with regard to the application and use of inspection tags, their material and the regular inspections (regulated by legal standards). As a rule, however, maintenance or inspections are always carried out by a specialist and the results are recorded in the inspection records.
Weather-resistant inspection stickers made of self-adhesive vinyl film are used wherever equipment needs to be inspected (whether it’s machinery, electrical systems, or the coffee machine in the cafeteria). They are suitable for the following applications:
- Equipment Inspection
- Medical Devices in the Healthcare Sector
- Ladders and Step Stools
- the annual electrical inspection of electronic devices and machines
Test badges material document foil
Tamper-proof inspection labels made of document-grade film have become an indispensable part of industrial labeling. Unlike vinyl maintenance labels, inspection labels made of document-grade film are forgery-proof. This is ensured by the special film—more specifically, a self-adhesive film—from which the labels are manufactured. Once applied, they cannot be removed in one piece but crumble into small fragments. This provides protection against counterfeiting, as remnants of the labels always remain stuck to the machine. The tamper-proof labels are also extremely durable, even when exposed to harsh chemicals.

Inspection stickers next inspection date
One of the most common purposes of inspection stickers is to clearly indicate the next inspection date for electrical equipment. To ensure the safety of your employees in the workplace, all electrical systems and devices should be regularly inspected to verify they are in good working order. With inspection stickers indicating the next inspection date, you can ensure that the equipment (electrical installations) is inspected regularly and also communicate the current inspection status.
Inspection labels printed with the next inspection date are universally applicable and available in various diameters. These labels are used in a wide variety of industries, ranging from the rail industry to mechanical engineering and medical technology. Since these labels simply bear the text “next inspection date,” they can be used both on the coffee machine in the cafeteria and on machinery in production.
The practical thing about the Texit inspection seals is that you can print them yourself on site and thus choose the imprint individually and freely. In addition to "next inspection date", other information can be printed to document the inspection. Or you can deliberately opt for the universal imprint and the wide range of possible applications.
Inspection Stickers FAQ
How are TÜV inspection stickers used properly?
How are TÜV inspection stickers used properly?
TÜV inspection stickers confirm that a vehicle has successfully passed the legally required general inspection and thus meets the requirements for safe participation in road traffic. The sticker is properly affixed to the vehicle’s rear license plate. To ensure a durable and secure bond, the surface must be clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and dust. Ideally, the sticker should be applied at a temperature of approximately +10 °C, with a minimum application temperature of +5 °C. It should be applied only to smooth surfaces. TÜV inspection stickers are issued exclusively for vehicles that have been inspected and found to be free of defects, and are available in different colors for each year. The color-coding makes it easy to quickly identify the next inspection date and aids in traffic enforcement.
Are the inspection stickers also suitable for ladders and step stools?
Are the inspection stickers also suitable for ladders and step stools?
Yes, Texit inspection stickers can also be used on ladders and step stools. DGUV Information 208-016 describes the safe use of ladders and step stools in everyday work in accordance with DGUV regulations. It requires that ladders be inspected regularly by a qualified person and that the results be documented. Although inspection stickers are not required by law for this purpose, they have become established as a proven means of identification.
An inspection sticker makes it easy to see at a glance when a ladder was inspected and when the next inspection is due. This makes it easier to comply with the Industrial Safety Regulation and to prepare for audits and internal inspections. Combined with complete inspection records, inspection stickers ensure greater transparency, safety, and legal certainty within the company.
Texit inspection stickers make it possible to implement the requirements of DGUV Information 208-016 efficiently and in a practical manner.
